Poem about Sadness

Friend In Hospital

this is about someone who regrets what they have said to a certain person who is ill and dying and this poem is like their way of saying I'm sorry, and I need you.

Not Letting You Go

© Paige
Grip my hand
Donít ever let go,
Just give me one more chance
To let you know,
I didnít mean what I said
And I never thought youíd be here,
In an hospital bed,
Lying cold, numb, almost dead,
And I can't take it,
Please pull through I know you can make it,
Donít leave me here
Make me shed this tear
Youíre all Iíve got,
Even if I appreciated it or not,
Youíve always been there,
Near or far apart,
Even though I didnít realize,
You were in my heart,
And I know youíre strong
And to this fate you donít belong,
I need you here to comfort me,
I need to you to fight,
Donít shut your eyes,
Donít fall into the light,
Because if you go, my world will fall apart,
And Iíll have a broken heart,
And now as you lie here I know,
Iíve always needed you,
Right from the very start,
And Iím not letting you go.
