Twin Poem

A wish upon a star, and then the blessing of twins.

Special Gift

© John W. Lilly
Once upon a time mommy and I,
wished upon a distant star,
We didn't know if we'd get our wish,
the chances seemed rather far.

We asked God for a little girl,
To cuddle and hold tight,
To love and squeeze and give
a gentle kiss goodnight.

Well, God was listening and the answer
came straight from the blue.
Not only did we get one little angel,
He saw fit to give us two...

  • When the doctor said they are twins both girls. I looked at him and thought he was insane. And I asked myself what was I going to do because their father lost interest the day I told him I am pregnant. Arriving at home I couldn't tell my mother they were twins I slept thinking hard. But I said with God everything will be okay as long as I am working. They were born my identical angels I loved them dearly I called their father who seemed not interested. I said to myself my mother raised me as a single mother I will raise them. My angels where there adorable loved by the community and everyone and they are grown up now eighteen their father is back. I thank God he is part of their lives. I love them they are soft, gentle humble and loving.
