Mother Child Poem

A mother who's relentless optimistic spirit is an inspiration to her daughter.

Mom

© Janice M. Smith

My Mom sees the world differently than I. She can look at it with her head held high.
Some people's hearts are blackened with dirt, mud, coal, but my Mother's heart if full of gold.
It is just so shiny and bright and not dull at all, and that's why she has her head standing tall.
She looks to the future where her fortune can come, not to the past where mistakes come from.
I guess that's why she holds her head up high and not to the ground, but where she can see the sky!
