Father Death Poem

My dad past away of Cancer this year, and that inspired me start writing again after a break for a few years. It felt good to share. I actually made it PUBLIC because I wanted to pass something to anyone who needed to read it. Sometimes you just feel like there is something you should share, and maybe you could help say the words they can't... or just aren't sure how.

To My Daddy, On Your Birthday

Today was the day
so many years ago
You came into this world
Bringing a special glow

So full of love
And laughter so loud
Thinking of you today
You still make us proud

Daddy , I know you’re watching
I know your looking down
Your birthday is today
And although you’re not around

It doesn’t stop our thoughts
And never stops our prayers
I am sending birthday wishes
To my angel upstairs
