Father and Child Poem
Where was my daddy?
Daddy?

Where were you, Daddy, when I took my first steps?
Where were you, Daddy, when I learned to tie my shoes?
Where were you, Daddy, when I thought I'd drown in my own tears?
Where were you, Daddy, when Mommy was working all alone to give me clothes?
Where were you, Daddy, when I watched my best friend get sick and die?
Where were you, Daddy, when I needed a partner for the Father-Daughter dance?
Where were you, Daddy, when I wrote my first song?
Where were you, Daddy, when I sang in front of a crowd?
Where were you, Daddy, when I looked for you?
Where were you, Daddy?
Where were you?
