I've never wished for fortunes,
I've always prayed for better things.
I'm happy and contented,
Never wanting to live like a king.

I've never craved for riches.
Why should I waste my time?
Possessions are only borrowed.
All I want is peace of mind.

Money can't buy you happiness
Or make your dreams unfold.
Your loved ones are your wealth,
Not pockets filled with gold.

As long as there's food on the table,
A roof above my head,
I will say thank you, Lord,
My life has truly been blessed.

Spring,summer,winter and fall,
the seasons of change
greet one and all.

Spring,summer,winter and fall,
the seasons of change
greet one and all.

For as in life,
they'll be many a storm.
Life's seasons change
the moment we're born.

Clouds will appear
every once in awhile.
From a cold winter chill
to a warm summer smile.

In our lives like the seasons
they'll be many a fall.
We have to prepare
to answer the call.

But in the end
our troubles will wain.
When the sun bows its head
and shines once again.

Christmas Memories.

Nowadays Christmas has lost its true meaning,it was so different back in the day when we had very little.

Those Christmases of old
were much better by far.
We never had much money,
but we always got by.

Those Christmases of old

No expensive gifts
just little things.
A Christmas stocking
a drum made of tin.

A jigsaw puzzle
my mum helped me complete,
A plastic gun,
golden coins that were sweets.

A few new pennies,
a coloring book
That my Nan filled in,
so I never got a look.

Now sadly today
the mystery has gone.
Christmas starts in August
and goes on and on.

Gone is the magic,
the expectation the surprise.
Christmas is big business,
it's become too commercialized.

Humans are slowly destroying our planet it's time to Wake up.

looks down at the earth
and bows his head in shame.

by human hands
a world led by the insane.

He knows it won't be long
before our earth has gone
then who are we to blame.

between the present and the past.
Our lives hang in the balance
and there is no going back.

Every journey we make is uncertain
we may fall and hit the ground.
No one knows their fate or fortune
our destiny is in our lord's hands.

Our past cannot be edited
forgotten erased or changed.
It can only be accepted
for we cannot go back again.

We must leave the past behind us
let nothing weigh you down.
Treating everyday as a gift
for the moment is all we have.

Poem Questioning Existence Beyond Our World

I wonder,
Is there anything out there?
Something we don't know?
Our earth is just a grain of dust

I wonder,
Is there anything out there?
Something we don't know?
Our earth is just a grain of dust
In a universe that continues to grow.

Is there life on other planets?
Is there a God above?
There must be more
Than just living then dying.
What's the point, I often ask?

Maybe there's a parallel universe
Where departed ones meet again.
A world that's full of light,
A world that has no pain.

Is there something beyond the stars,
Or is it just an empty space?
Is God in another universe?
Did he abandon the human race?

I hope there's something out there.
Surely life can't be that cruel.
I pray there's a God looking over us.
If not,
"What's the point of it all?"
