Letting Go

She was scared to let go.
She was worried that everything might fall apart.
But she felt this heaviness, every day, growing in her heart.
So she took a deep breath.

She was scared to let go.
She was worried that everything might fall apart.
But she felt this heaviness, every day, growing in her heart.
So she took a deep breath.
She opened her hands and let it all go.
And what’s when she saw beauty above her brow,
telling her it was now *her* time to grow.
Releasing her fears, she realised what it felt like to be free.
It felt amazing, she felt like the joyous girl
she once used to be.
The chains in her mind had lied to her, saying that they
were present to hold everything in place.
But now her wings held everything together.
It was time to fold her fears away.

Just to be,
to fight for your happiness

It takes a certain courage:

Just to be,
to fight for your happiness
and sense of calm in this world,
to get out of bed and meet the day,
to choose to be openminded
rather than clinging to your beliefs,
to set boundaries,
to say yes,
to say no,
to try again.

You are made of that kind of courage.
Chin up buttercup and go make some
beautiful moments with your bravery.

why life feels
so uphill most of the time.
but maybe

the mountains are rooting for us.
maybe they want us to see sights
we would never get to see without them.
because in that moment,
when life takes your breath away
for all her beauty, you are reborn.
and I don’t think there is anything
more perfect
in this world than a new beginning.

Holding on to your hope with both hands.
Feeling exhausted with all the turbulence.
But not letting go.

and growing and trying. So much trying.
And you are right,
your old life is a bad fit for you now.
There is more for you out there.
There is more for you inside too.
