Grandfather Death Poem

I wrote this after my great grandpa died and I just really like it.

Tinkering with old gadgets,
Riding on that old tractor,
You lived to be outside,
Under that big blue sky,
Then one day you fell,
And bumped your head,
You were still alive,
But not all there,

You wanted to go outside,
You might hit your head,
They let you go,
You hit your head,
You went to the nursing home,
You were stuck inside,
You couldn’t see the sky,

Then you died in your sleep,
At that nursing home,
Where you couldn’t see,
That big blue sky,
Now you’re in that sky,
You loved to see.

  • My grandpa was a hard working man and if he got sick he ALWAYS got better but this time he didn't come home. they told me he was gone but I didn't think it was true. He had heart problems and we tried to help him as much as we could. but sadly he didn't make it. I will always remember him.....FOREVER!!
