In My Life
I was flipping through my gratitude journal, which I started back in 2018. Soon, I was reminded that though I didn't always like or understand the process, God has always taken perfect care of me.

Some struggles I've had to lose,
So in my life, the Lord can win.
A good door slammed in my face,
For the right one to let me in.
Some struggles I've had to lose,
So in my life, the Lord can win.
A good door slammed in my face,
For the right one to let me in.
Folks I turned to let me down,
So my God could lift me high.
The delay I'd felt was way too long --
A runway that helped me fly.
Had my ego clipped and bruised,
But it was God pruning the vine.
From times I felt pressed and crushed,
He has brought forth new wine.
At this moment, I am struggling.
Yearning for quick relief again.
Though not at the risk of missing,
What He wants me to attain.
I like to think I have good plans,
How in my life, things should be.
But thanks to God whose loving kindness, Works out what is best for me.
