Nothing Stays The Same
The earth spins like a rolling ball.
Stars shine bright then fade away.
Darkness melts and turns to light.
The sunrise starts another day.
I love reading other people’s poems especially when I feel connected with the writer. It is really good to see young people enjoying poetry. There would be less madness in this world if more people could express how they feel in a safe place. This looks like a safe place to me after having read some poetry submissions and comments.
I’m 68 and have dabbled in rhymes since I was a teenager. Often writing humorous longer poems for friends birthdays. I get a laugh sometimes.
Writing poetry helps me. It helps me get my thinking right and helps me come to terms with difficult life situations. Sometimes happy, sometimes sad, sometimes just off the spectrum of reason. I’m hoping for responses from others to affirm my words and let me know I’m not going crazy ( or perhaps I am). Sorry I don’t mean to sound arrogant or stuffy..
The earth spins like a rolling ball.
Stars shine bright then fade away.
Darkness melts and turns to light.
The sunrise starts another day.
in Faith Poems
I stand in a stream of madness
And take a moment to still my fears.
In the aisles of dreams and sadness,
You were there throughout the years.
Did I tell you I love you?
Did I tell you I care?
Did I tell you I'm happy
Now that you're here?
in Change Poems
Locked in this place
I want to go home
Surrounded with people
But I am all alone
What if?
What if we treated the Bible like our mobile phone
Carried it with us wherever we went
