When days seem dark and it feels like rain,
you bring your light to brighten the day.
You bring a ray of sunshine along with hope
whenever times get rough and it's hard to cope.

You are charming, kind, funny and sweet.
Being crazy with you is hard to beat.
You always understand just how I think.
It doesn't matter if I'm sober or drink.

You make me smile and you make me laugh.
You make me feel whole instead of half.
I treasure our crazy days together.
It's the simple things I always remember.

When we share a laugh or joke or two,
these are the times I cherish with you.
Not to mention the food brought to share
that let me know you also care.

Your friendship gives comfort I'm not alone
to face my fears and tackle the unknown.
You're someone in my life that can't be replaced
either by time, distance, or even space.

Whenever we're together something just clicks
We feed off each other and have to think quick.
I have a deep affection and we have a bond

born of Mary, child of God,
born this night to bring us light,
God with us, Emmanuel.

Baby Jesus, child of love,

Bells ring out, a child is born.
Angels sing out, "Christ the Lord!"
All on Earth rejoice His birth,
a Child of love, the Promised One.

Hope was born this silent night,
dark no more, eternal light.
He came to bring us saving grace,
a child of love, the Holy One.

Word made flesh this holy night,
Living Promise, Lord Divine.
Bringing peace, goodwill to men,
a child of love, the Chosen One.

Born this night, this sacred night
Jesus Christ, the Lord Most High,
came to save and show the way,

Feeling Broken

Broken in spirit. Broken in heart.
Broken in pieces just falling apart.
Emotional pain. Deep in despair.
No one to love and no one who cares.

Emotional pain. Deep in despair.
No one to love and no one who cares.

Overwhelmed in sadness. Life out of control.
Feeling empty and lost down to my soul.
Tired of the struggle. I'm not that tough.
Always feeling like I'm not good enough.

Imprisoned by fear, I'm ready to fall.
Feeling forgotten and feeling small.
Caught in the middle in a storm of pain,
I search for the sun, but am lost in the rain.

I need to change something, but I don't know how,
because it's hard to focus on the here and now.
I need to take care and try to be brave
and not dwell on the past mistakes that I've made.

Being broken and wounded shatters my heart,
but its part of my story that I need to restart.
God, help me to find strength to keep on going,
and I'll take a deep breath and keep on coping.

and feel the blessing that Christmas brings deep inside your heart?

Do you feel excited when trimming the Christmas tree,
and when the gifts are placed beneath and feeling a sense of glee?
Do you feel the bliss from mistletoe hanging above
when you get a Christmas kiss from someone you love?

Do you feel a calmness hanging a wreath upon the door,
and hope the feeling of Christmas will remain forevermore?
Do you feel the warmth of a yuletide log that's burning,
and feel the spirit of Christmas with every season's greeting?

Do you feel the peacefulness of a gentle falling snow,
and feel the love of Christmas in your heart and in your soul?
Do you feel inspired when carols are being sung,
and do you feel happiness when stockings are being hung?

Do you feel the kindness of people in their sharing,
and feel the excitement of the season when wrapping gifts you're giving?
Do you feel the comfort of sharing dinner with Christmas treats,
and feel the goodness of family and friends as you pray and eat?

Do you feel the serenity from the glow of Christmas candles,
and feel the miracle of Christmas from the Nativity on the mantle?
Do you feel the Christmas goodwill from a giving heart this season,
and do you feel peace and joy knowing Jesus is the reason?

When thunder and lightning begin to collide
to rock our world and cause a divide,
we'll hold on tight through the twists and turns
and remember the love inside us that burns.

we'll hold on tight through the twists and turns
and remember the love inside us that burns.

Heart storms expose our imperfections and flaws
while weaknesses and faults bring out our claws.
Love in the midst of any heart storm
becomes the calm after in its tender form.

I will always need that part of you
that never let's go when a heart storm brews.
You are the lifeboat in the midst of distress
when love gets tough and becomes a mess.

After the heart storm, we won't be the same.
Even after the toughest storm there's still a little rain.
A rainbow is waiting to bring beauty and hope
to calm our heart storm and help us cope.

Love is the shelter in a heart storm.
Love keeps us safe and keeps us warm.
Because weathering the storms of love
will bring our heart storm to a calm.

Our happy days came and went, but memories always remained
because feelings stay buried deep inside even when times have changed.
There was a time when togetherness and love was all that really mattered
but hopes and dreams of starting over are all but lost or shattered.

Our happy days came and went, but memories always remained
because feelings stay buried deep inside even when times have changed.
There was a time when togetherness and love was all that really mattered
but hopes and dreams of starting over are all but lost or shattered.

I regret I didn't hold you longer. I regret there wasn't more kisses.
I regret there wasn't more time together. I regret the hurt this is.
I regret the day we said goodbye, but not what we once had.
One mistake can change everything, every dream and every plan.

I've shed many a tear thinking about what we could have been,
but we can't turn back the hands of time and do things we never did.
The heart knows the truth we waited too long to ever share love again,
or to try to start all over again just to end up in heartbreak and pain.

When I look back I always regret the chances we didn't take,
but we can't undo what has been done or change our past mistakes.
There are many things that I regret, but never our time together,
nor the way you use to hold me tight or the love we made to each other.

If I could write our story again, I would pour out my feelings inside
and remind you how we fell in love and how our love could last a lifetime.
If we could create new memories just tell me where and when,
I'd do it in a heartbeat even if it meant losing you once again.

Every day you cross my mind in memories that I treasure
like the times we use to travel and cook and the times we sang together.
I never got to say goodbye, but I'll never stop talking to you
and let you know how my day is going and share a memory or two.

You had such a beautiful life with family and with friends.
Your love of life brought light to us we hoped would never end.
Your beauty was beyond compare in kindness and in love,
and I promise that the love you gave will always be passed on.

I know you now belong to God, but your love and light remain.
I know you walk beside me because you're never far away.
I am trying to live without you and to mend a heart that's grieving
by filling the sadness in my heart with faith and spiritual healing.

There is always something there that reminds me so much of you
and the times we spent together, which were more than just a few.
You were always the dearest friend who brought out the best in me,
and you always made me feel I was a part of your family.

I loved your gentle presence and your warm inviting hugs.
You were a once in a lifetime friend who was, oh, so very much loved.
We were making memories to remember when we were having fun.
Memories that I look back on and remember one by one.

No one can ever take your place. You were one of a kind.
You were very special. You're not far from my mind.
You left so unexpectedly. The loss was beyond tears.
But I hold on to my faith in God remembering you in my prayers.

I miss our times together because I smiled a whole lot more.
You were one of my greatest gifts. You were someone I adored.
