What do you see before you?
Are you alone to your thoughts?
Is the sky above you colored blue?
With clouds passing into afterthoughts

A promise made to you.  You are not alone
All around you is ready for the artist's touch
A canvas white and ready for the unknown
This life and burdens that seem too much

A new start.  A simple swoosh of the brush
Though some colors are dark and grey
None of it matters to this life's paintbrush
Mixed together, colored cares vanish away

For even the saddest color can be beautiful
With the delicate strokes of the artist's brush
Creates a white caped mountain unmovable
With green trees, leaves rustling then a hush

Darkest thoughts calmed by a gentle stream
Reflecting memories some good many bad
Painted into things found only in a dreams
With happy colors the artist begins to add

You are the artist wielding the paintbrush
Creating life's picture with your own brush
Now, what do you see before you?
Is the sky above you still colored blue?

There is a chance for a new masterpiece
Regardless of the colors it's yours to wield
With each gentle stroke you will be at peace
Creating a picture of hope for you to be healed

All together gracious falling to the ground
Swooping looping and turning around
You see them in Spring Summer and Fall
Once they were small but that's not all

Under the sun they grow into leaves
All to quickly then they fall it seems
Renewed once again without doing a thing
Entering the scene with the dawn of a new spring

Beautiful depiction the true message is near
Ever pointing to the new leaf's color, it is clear
Altogether green signifying new life
Until they fall swooping looping into after life

Together graciously falling to the ground
It's clear that there is something depicted here
Find the meaning in the color for it to appear
Until then all of this is repeating once again

Life's beautiful message hidden with this pen

I'm never truly alone to myself
Myself has many personalities
With more stories than a bookshelf
Sharing many different mentalities

Decisions can be sometimes fun
Initially personality one chimes in first
Cause one wants to get things done
But four thinks one is just the worst

Enraging six who runs to one's defense 
Four snaps back with uncommon wit
As six rambles on making truly no sense
Then there's two who refuses to commit

With one now laughing to hearts content
Cause four and six now in the argument
Will fight till evening is completely spent
And two still refuses to engage or commit

Enters five to intervene and save the day
Five the mediator as three would say
Together they team up to show the way
Two now commits to irritate them away

Whom three accuses two of jealousy
Cause five and three are friends you see
With one still laughing hysterically
Four and six have now entered therapy

So the night becomes really interesting
Cause one and two are now listening
To three and four's happy whistling
At five and six who started...kissing!?!

Multiple personalities can be so fun
Just don't expect normality from one
One's mind will simply become undone
Arguing to kissing and the nights still young

Have you ever pondered your value?
Asking sincerely about your worth
Placing importance on a thank you
Playfully with words referring to your birth
You may ask simply what is the meaning?
Based on what is being written here
It's a poetic celebration of well-meaning
Referring to you because you're dear
The earth was blessed on that given day
Having been gifted someone truly special
Daily joy even on days that may seem gray
Always with your presence totally on the level
You make things truly better and whenever
Even on the days that you don't think so
Life becomes a smile with just a "whatever"
I just wanted you to understand and know
Forever thankful for you, even if your eyes begin to roll

There was a house in my dream
Vacant it stood as it would seem
I entered the house in my dream
To see that which couldn't be seen

The first room was bare and white
Except for footprints as dark as night
I decided to keep them within my sight
Suddenly they trailed off to the right

In a doorway I stood of another room
Vacant it was as that's what I assume
Wait! Was there a mirror in the room?
Alone it stood in this room of gloom

I ventured in to see what could be seen
What was I to see within this dream?
Just my reflection as it would seem
Then I saw that which couldn't be seen

The fright was more than I could bear
My heart jumped because of the scare
I froze captivated by a ghostly stare
Should I speak to her? I didn't dare

It was a ghostly girl staring back at me
Yet invisible outside the mirror you see
She spoke to me a message and a plea
Pointing to a window saying I should flee

I peered out the window to my surprise
A fearful warning to my tired eyes
Death was coming for me I surmise
I knew at that moment I should hide

Out of the house I fled that faithful day
For an unknown ghost pointed the way
That which is unseen vanished away
A mysterious message. Would you say?

It's evening now the sun is down
And it's time for the hunt to begin
Out of my cave off I go with a grisly frown
To take my place as creatures of night, yet once again

Remorseful? No, the prey is near, and I sense its fear
Gruesome death there will be no escape, no-not this time
My claws are sharp my feet are swift, and I have a keen ear
Steady my pace through the trees knowing soon it will be mine

Faster I go through the night because the night is me
Making no sound anticipating its' death with that ending scream
But stopping yet to question why what did I just see?
What was that through the trees?

Something dark-something there-something waits for me
Is it something-why is this something that was unseen?
I feel my heart out loud sinking-this is something new
But why too dark for the dark to see?

Chasing again I slowly adjust moving with anticipation now
I see my prey to kill is just cover your eyes not to see
It's nothing learned it's the only way I know how

To hear its heart...to move slowly now...what does this mean
Somethings wrong-something is new-somethings not explained
In the silence....in the night....through the gentle stream
Its message of understanding with starlight whispered

Leaving me with reflections-somethings changed it seems
Because of the previous reflecting, something is now watching me
Quiet so sweet the calm not sought for the end I didn't see
I am the hunter....but something terrible just happened to me

Ever wondered as you thought through the night
Under the stars gazing at the beautiful sky above
With thoughts expressed till morning light
Every word penned in sincerity the true meaning of

The story of love truer than any story book
Because you are the reason for words written
The heart revealed with just a simple look
Hidden not, because it's completely smitten

Ever looked to the mighty roaring waterfall
Water begins calm before progressing along
Suddenly the rocks appear but that's not all
It becomes beautiful, turning into a nature's song

Even this doesn't compare to the message here
The message of beauty which is clearly seen
Every day, every moment with you being near
Nothing compares at all - to all of you - you see

In words expressed as you are the very reason
Never penned to be a hidden message in part
Since it is perfect to be said during this season
Possessing my thoughts and penned on my heart

I wish the words could express all this above
Reasons for which it's not just all explained
As words are merely the result of this thereof
This truly is something that has remained

In poem contained none of this to be feigned
Outward signs, wish you could truly see
Now that you know what you truly mean to me
The end of the message is only yours to see

Crystal white I see it drop slowly
With out effort it floats on its own
If you could halt its moments only
Lapsed in time its uniqueness shown

But why rob it of its time so slowly?
Precious seconds before its moment
Taking its place with others wholly
Because it’s part of a bigger component

A pictures tapestry begins to form
Its palette ready for the artist’s touch
What perfection today shall we perform?
An only depiction of the heavenly such

It’s agreed then as the artist begins to work
Creation’s sacrifice temporary cold it feels
But its labored result is a unique artwork
Seen now the artist’s angelic image reveals

As I pick this book up to write
I find myself turning to this page
To tell this story yes that's right
Starting out to describe this stage

The pen will not do it justice
Of how I felt on that day
Not even through a lengthy sentence
But I will do my best to show the way

The way in which a drop of water
That day tore my heart in two
I wondered deeply at this matter
But the truth is I barely knew you

To understand at that instance
And comprehend what was on your mind
What could cause something so precious
To escape your eyes, it was a sign

For it was in the very moment
That I turned the page to write
Though not the cause I would seek atonement
To do what I could to make it right

To see your smile once again
Even for whatever part I play
To see your life-giving smile sustain
This moment forward from day to day

There have been moments just to sit quietly
In places of uncertainty and of the unknown
Furthest away from all which represents society
Surrounded by nothing and completely alone

Alone to my thoughts thinking in sincerity
What happened to bring me to this place
A place of reflection in complete solidarity
Severity of anxiety is very difficult to face

Some say you should just let it go and relax
Why do you dwell on things you cannot control
The dark side says just mind your own beeswax
With words readers probably wouldn't condone

It's difficult to explain the cause behind the pain
Or why the attacks have a tendency to occur
I definitely don't like what it does to my brain
Causing all my thoughts to be a sudden blur

Crippling it becomes causing the need for sleep
Break this horrible spell and bring this day to an end
So that for another day my wits I may truly keep
And those I hurt by my sins completely amend
