Blood boiled in every vain,
Like a flicker in every flame.
Tears streaming from my eyes,
'Cause my life is built on lies.
Overpowered by my fears,
So I kept quiet for many years.
The secrets tore me up inside.
With a twisted mind and arms atied,
They took their turns,
So I buried the burns.
I grew up thinking it was my fault.
My fault for every rape and every assault.
Those dark memories still haunt my brain,
And still I feel I'm the one to blame.
Every night I lie awake,
Wondering how much I can take.
If only someone would have listened
To the screams and to the pleads.
Maybe I could have ended it all
And still be able to stand tall.
But enough is enough.
Tonight I will stay tough
And maybe for once they will see
That they can no longer hurt me.

Can't you see
The pain in my eyes?
But this is me
And my life.
If you hold me close
You can hear my heart
It cries more than most
From being torn apart.
After every breath I take,
After every fight I witness,
I ask, "Why must I awake?"
Will I ever conquer forgiveness?
Can you ever truly
Forgive without forgetting?
I am lonely.
My life I am abandoning.
From pain I am running.
Even though these tears are streaming
I will never look back.
All in all,
I have one question to ask.
Would you still catch me if I fall?
Maybe one day you will see.
This is how I live,
And this is me.

There's no place I'd rather be
Than in your heart
And in your dreams.
Hoping forever we would be
In this lovely anarchy,
But so you know, I have been hurting,
Crying these silent tears.
My heart sinks at the thought
Of us being one for so many years.
Mascara stains this face
As my heart begins to race.
The back of my throat starts to burn
As I wonder, "When will you return?"
I've decided I can't take much more pain.
Will we both lose or will you gain?
These silent tears create a lack of words.
One thing's for sure,
You can't live in both worlds.
So look me in the eyes,
For it's your time to decide.
I love you with all my heart.
But you can't keep tearing it apart.
So sit down and listen to my silent cries
Before my heart goes black
And our love completely dies.

As I lie in my bed,
Your name's running through my head.
All I can think of is you,
All that you do,
And the way you look at me.
I feel as if I'm in a dream.
The blue sky
Reminds me of your eyes,
Which give me butterflies.
You have brightened my life
With that beautiful smile.
No longer are my days a trial.
Your touch is like heaven
Upon my young skin.
If only you knew
That what I say is true
I would do anything just to be with you.
Hand to hand, palm to palm.
Just hold me in your arms.
I love you with all my heart
'Till the very day it falls apart.
I may be young,
But my heart is strong.
I know what love is.
It's my name and his.
You make all the problems float away,
No matter how was my day.
I love our heart-to-heart chats
When our beats connect
And when my head starts to fade back
From when the blue sky
Turns sacred black.

The angel lost her grace,
As mascara ran down her face.
She forgot love, remembered hate.
She no longer had her faith.

With tear stained cheeks,
Through bloodshot eyes,
She saw only pain and suffering.
Love, she couldn't conquer.

As the blue sky faded to black,
Darkness filled her heart.
Her wings vanished from her back,
And her kindness fell apart.

Even with all her might,
Her dress still went black from white.
She was sent to save,
To help those who weren't brave.

But as she looked around,
At the marks she left...
Tear stained cheeks,
And bloodshot eyes.

I don't know how to explain without writing,
So here I am with all words rhyming.

I usually run from what I feel,
But it has never felt this real.
We started off strong,
But I guess we were wrong.

See why I am afraid of commitment?
I gave it my all, my limit.
I gave my heart for you to hold.
It once was warm but now made cold.

If only you could search my soul.
And for once listen to the story being told.
We don't talk for days on end.
And when we finally see each other,
You don't even act like my friend,
Never mind my lover.

If you don't want to be with me,
Just tell me and let me be.
This is emotional torture.
If you don't love me, just end it.
Don't hurt me anymore, say that's it.

I meant it when I said I love you.
I honestly thought you did too.
What happened to our spark?
The flames grew tall, they lit my path.
But now I feel left alone in the dark.

Every night I lie awake
Thinking of the steps we once did take.
Going over my every move,
Wondering what I did wrong, what I can improve.
Tears stream down my cheek,
For my every move I feel critiqued.

I still love you, don't get me wrong.
But this feeling makes me weak, no longer strong.
I'm down on my knees begging, pleading.
My heart can't take much more bleeding.
Let me know how you feel,
Whether or not your love is real.

I just don't understand.
One day you stand tall and hold my hand,
But the next I'm left with the feeling of blue
Without a heads up or even a clue.
It's like I am on an emotional roller coaster
With all these ups, downs,
And turn arounds.

I love you is just three little words,
But I can't even describe the meaning they hold.
You have opened my eyes
And showed me a new life.
Even though I am young, I started questioning my being.
But when I met you, I once again started believing.
You have helped me more than you know.
And one day that story will be told.

I'm not a girl who wants material things.
I don't want flowers or fancy rings.
I am a giver, not a taker.
Just like I am a listener, not a talker.
There are a few things that I wish for.

Every word I said is true.

Waking up to your beautiful face
Makes me happy that I'm not in another place.
Dreaming of you and me together
living happily ever after.
Hand in hand, palm to palm
just hold me in your arms.
Look me deep in the eyes
say "I love you" without a lie.
Watching you smile
makes life no longer a trial.
Your happiness is everything to me
without you, completely empty I would be.
Every night before I sleep
I pray to the Lord, our love to keep
Like a fire burning free
our love is eternity.
Trust me when I say this is love,
A true gift from above.
Listen to me, believe me, trust me
when I say this is love, not just lust.

I know so little about you,
But I'm falling in love with you.
I have been since the day we met.
When your eyes met mine
My heart stopped on the dime.
When you sent a smile my way,
My troubles allayed.
It was so unexpected
When our lips connected.
Our hearts entwined,
As our bodies intertwined.
Remembering your warm embrace
Brings tears to this delicate face.
It took all my might
Not to leave with you that night.
You said you'd take me far away
From tears, fears, pain,
And this sick twisted game.
You said you were serious,
I still think you were delirious.
Looking up at the sky
I still ask myself "why"
I really wanted us to work.
The day I ended it my heart broke.
Maybe one day we will once again be.
As the days pass, I will wish and pray
That you will wait for me.
