The Moment.
in Poems about Life Struggles
Through life we walk a tightrope
between the present and the past.
Our lives hang in the balance
and there is no going back.

in Earth Poems
The man in the Moon
looks down at the earth
and bows his head in shame.
in Poems about Life Struggles
Awareness is wisdom
were truth wears a crown.
Where freedom is born
and lies make no sound.
In the silence of twilight
When ghostly whispers unfold.
Thoughts fill my head
From days of long ago.
I've washed my hands of religion
rather than let it brainwash me.
I'm no longer a prisoner being held captive
by those bars of lies and deceit.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Joseph. It's almost 10 years since I lost my dear wife, Ann. Although it still hurts as if it were only yesterday, maybe I should have attended a bereavement group. Writing poetry does help a little. Maybe that's my therapy.
Dear Yannik,
I'm so pleased you liked my poem. Thank you for your time and heart-warming comment.
It's only now that I'm older I realise my school years were the best days of my life. If only I could turn back time.
Hi Kumari. I was one of those who certainly pushed the limits. I now regret all those days of not attending school. I have learned life's lesson the hard way.
There's hidden strength in all of us, sister Beryl. We must never give up hope never lose faith. I do believe God is never more than a heartbeat away. God Bless.
