Tumbler Ridge BC

Tumbler Ridge is reeling from the tragedy within
Many lives were taken; the situation now quite grim
Young lives sadly taken, family left behind to mourn
The violence that we see today, is growing like a storm
It strikes, and reeks it's havoc, loved ones too soon, sadly gone
How are they left to navigate, how can they carry on
Why does this violence happen, why does violence seem to be the way
To solve unknown grievances, that seem to be in play
My heart goes out to family, and also to their friends
I hope someday, the violence,  will soon come to an end

A new angel in heaven is waiting for you
With glorious wings and a bright halo too
With wings spread wide they soar through the air
With a heart full of love always willing to share
All the moments remembered all that we have lost
The sound of their voice we will miss a lot
In our hearts, we will keep them safe and secure
Never forgotten of this I am sure
From up above they'll watch over you
With a smiling face and a heart that is true
Although there's a space where they used to be
Their soul is released and they can fly free
There is some comfort if you see it this way
Together once more is the prayer that I pray

Robb Elementary School is reeling
From the violence they've endured
So many lives were taken
Evil opens up its door
Precious little souls
Bright-eyed and full of life
How were they to know
On that day they'd lose their life
There has to be an answer
To the violence that occurs
To the pain and the suffering
That the parents must endure
We hear about these horrors
On the news too many days
And it seems the evil out there
Will sadly never go away
I pray to God in heaven
To bless these little souls
Because they now are angels
In loving arms, he does enfold

Your life is a gift more precious than gold
From the day of your birth, your life starts to unfold
Treat it with kindness and treat it with care
And the strength in your body will always be there
If you abuse it as some often do
An attack without pity is what it will do
You have many adventures still ahead on life's ride
And sadly, some sorrows you'll have to abide
You'll have to accept the bad with the good
But don't throw in the towel though we know that you could
You must go on, you must persevere
Hold on to your life, hold it very dear
Though sometimes your life may seem to be tough
The worst that could happen would be to not live long enough
So treat it with kindness and treat it with care
And pray for God's love to always be there
