Holding out these empty arms
Cursing my disillusionment
Why did I imagine it could be any other way
that I could have been content, dreams that's all it was
Mothers arms are not meant to be empty
I look up at the sky, tears filling my eyes,
Searching the stars trying to find my angel
The brightest star I search for 
Finding it, the first tear rolls down my cheek
Memories flood back of our short time together
Love totally encasing my heart as I look at that star
I know you are there baby I will never forget
I just can't come to accept as I look that you are so far
I would have cuddled and loved you kept you safe
Within my arms holding you in a tight embrace
I will search these skies for you each night
But just for now I have to leave you in God's guiding light
Sleep well, my baby, one day my arms and heart will be full again
As I join you and give you all that was meant to be

Life is a bitter sweet pill
I am forced to take against my will
Everyone trying to pull me
Back into so called reality
Why, I ask, what does it hold?
Don't they see I have nothing, I am so cold
My veins have no heat pumping through
My depression makes everything a shaded hue
In my heart I have no laughter, joy, or love
I have prayed, but there are no answers from above
My reality is not like other people's seem to be
Silent screaming inside of me, constant feelings of misery
Just want to withdraw into my own little safe haven
Just to be left alone and have people realize I am not worth saving
So please don't save me
I don't want to come back to your reality

To hold you close, to have you near
To have my breath against your ear
Whispering the words I long to say
Being able to show you my passion in that special way,
The loving, caressing, kissing would feel so right
Expressing our love right through the night
Our bodies joined as one in pure ecstasy
As you become part of me
Reaching that point there is no going above
Our bodies explode together in the throes of love
After, cuddling, laughing, talking all part of us too
I look up smile and say I love you.

I watch the waves crash in, breaking on the shore.
All their anger dispensed on the ocean's floor.
I look at the sky so blue, sun shining so bright,
Spreading heat and happiness with its blinding light.
Long blades of grass swaying in the gentle breeze,
Dancing in rhythm with so much ease.
Look up at the trees, hearing the singing of the birds,
Happily chirping, singing at ease without words.
Sitting here holding my knees to my chest,
Watching and hearing nature at its best,
I ponder how Nature could get it so right
When we have let Nature's lessons get so out of sight.
We hold our anger, let our happiness slip away,
Making our survival a struggle each and every day.
We have forgotten the little things that mean so much,
Like the laughter, the freedom, and someone's loving touch.
If only I could make people stop, watch and listen to Nature's tale,
We could all sit back happily and our world would not be so frail.
In each other's existence in harmony we could all survive.
I'm sure like the sun, wind, tree, and birds our lives we could revive
If only we let nature take its course in each and every one of us each day and night,
As I sit and ponder how Nature got it so right and we lost all sight.
