Tick tock there goes the clock
There's never enough minutes never enough time,
Wouldn't it be great wouldn't it be sublime
If only we could hit the pause button on life
Then we could stop all our stress and strife,
We all want to be superman, but in real life the buildings are too tall,
Most of the time we find ourselves struggling to get up after we fall,
But tic tock there goes the clock
The continuation of this wretched thing we call existence
The only way we move forward is out of pure persistence
There's never enough time to do what we need to
We blink for too long n years fly by you
But tick tock there's that flaming clock
A reminder that every day will be the same
A reminder of the darkness and the shame
The loneliness in this crowded world is deafening
I can't hear myself think, the pressures of this world we're in
Tick tock yeah the repeating sound of the clock
It's a sound I've never learnt how to block,
My turmoil continues, my head spinning round n round
I don't know how to make it better, I end up screaming with my face in the ground,
But I know it's coming it always does, that tick......
Then it stops there is no tock
Something is different something has changed within my life's clock....
The peace and quiet, my footsteps silent wen I tread,
I can't move or open my mouth, If I didn't know better I'd say I was dead.

I look back at our time together with absolutely no regret.

I couldn't believe my luck; I thought I had won first prize.

I knew from that first moment they could never keep us apart.

But somehow it sounds different without you humming along.

When I remember you, I always shed a tear
For every moment we had together and every happy year.

When I remember you, I miss our walks alone at night,
Stars in the sky, hand in hand, we surely were a sight.

When I remember you and the love we always shared,
Of life without you at my side, no way was I prepared,

So now when I remember you, my love, I remember mostly this...
I'll see you soon in paradise, and together we'll reminisce.

You were a ripple on a glass-like pond,
Just a moment in time; it's hard to respond.

A wave crashing onto an empty beach,
I went to talk, but I've lost all speech.

A whisper in the winter night's air.
How can this be true, how can this be fair?

You were meant to live; this just feels rotten.
You're gone now, but you're not forgotten.

A ray of sunshine through darkened clouds.
The silence is deafening amidst the crowds.

At the minute, times are tough.
The self-isolation can be rough.
Day after day, night after night.
The future unfolding is not so bright.
The world seems so strange, just not the same.
It feels so detached; it's such a shame.
This can't be it; there's got to be more.
We've got to reset; we've got to restore.
The world's in bad shape, but it's not the end.
Be there for one another; try to be a good friend.
At the minute, yes, times are tough,
But if we stick together, it can be enough.
Give encouragement and show our support.
By showing love to all, we cannot fall short.
Yes, the world's in bad shape, and yes, it's strange,
But together we can beat this; only together we can change.
So no matter how bad things seem to be,
If we are in it together, it's not that bad; I think you'll agree.
We need to be patient; we need to be kind.
If we do it this together, true joy we can find
So once again our future looks bright.
Together we'll get through this; the end is in sight,
So don't get upset; just smile or grin
