I Want To Tell You

There’s so much I want to say to you,
words I buried in my mind
but when it’s time to sing the verses
the melodies come out wrong.

I want to tell you
that I still miss you
even though I know I shouldn’t.
I want to tell you
that I wish to hold you
even though I can’t.
I want to tell you
you are the one
even when you couldn’t be.

But most of all
I want to tell you
that I love you
and I never stopped

But maybe one day
you’d keep telling me, instead.
