This is a poem about peace and what it is like to have peace! In 5th grade, my teacher, Ms. Gray, was teaching a lesson on different types of poems. One of our tasks was to write our own poem. I wrote this poem in a way I would think of it, although life would be great just sitting on a porch relaxing.

Peace And Quiet

Peace is...
When you are outside on a nice warm day
With a cold glass of yellow lemonade.
Slurp, slurp, slurp.
Feeling the warm sun on my back,
Rubbing my hands through the wet green grass,
Listening to the birds singing a distance away.
Quiet...
Now that's PEACE!
