Short Valentine Poem

I wrote this poem for my partner as this is how I feel for him. Even after 4 years together, I still get that butterfly feeling when I know he is coming home, and I miss him as soon as his car leaves the driveway. He is my life, my best friend, and my soul mate.

I love you for a lifetime,
Not only for a day.
I love you for who you are,
Not what you do or say.

I love the way you love me back,
So there is only one thing I can say.
I love you with my heart and soul and every other way,
So will you be my valentine not only for one day?
