I've loved and worshiped my whole life long,
I've lent a fair hand now and then.
I've praised the best, I've prayed for the rest.
I comfort the lonely once again.

I've been strong in my faith, I've lived by your word.
Lord, I've obeyed your commands.
Now my body and soul are long overdue,
So Lord, will you take me home too?

Lord, you've taken home the weak, you've taken
The strong, you've taken the old and the new.
You've taken the ones that I've loved the most.
So Lord, will you take me home too?

My dear husband I miss, all my friends have gone on.
I've noticed you called them home too.
There's no one familiar I see around me,
So Lord, will you take me home too?

Don't leave me behind in this crazy old world.
I'm not wanting to stay here alone.
I've prepared myself to meet you real soon,
So Lord, will you take me home to.

As the twilight fell on the new crispy morn,
She grew still with a small peaceful smile.
My prayers have been answered and it's not too soon.
My Lord is taking me home too.

A fine lady.
So gallantly strong,
She stands for the good,
The righteous, and God.

At a small little church she faithfully arrives.
She walks quietly about as she silently sighs.
She greets with a hug with outstretched hands.
"How are you doing today? Glad to see you," she says.

I gently embrace her and ask, "How are you doing?
You look pretty today."
With a sad glow in her eyes, she says,
"It's been kinda rough,
But our God's on my side,
And I'm hanging in tough."

With a soft smile on her face, she sits in a pew,
Among family and friends and others she knew.
She graciously prays with her head slightly bowed,
Singing God's hymns with a soft whispering sound.

As she rises to leave, I squeeze her arm and say,
"You look so beautiful and much better today."
She speaks with a quick grin as she touches my cheek
And replies with a voice that's suddenly weak.
"It's a little rough, but you know me,
I'm hanging in tough."

She faithfully arrives at the little church
One last time.
She was carried by loved ones
And friends by her side,
A bouquet was placed on the pew
Where she once sat,
With flowers and ribbons and banner that read:

God's taking me home.
His ride won't be rough,
For my days are all over for me.
Hanging in tough.

May we learn about Jesus and his time here on earth,
Understand his crucifixion and the miracle of his birth

May we read bible scriptures his word to obey
To use as a guide all the time day by day

Have church hymns to sing enough to fill up our souls
May we always seek righteousness for our spirit to be whole

Have God's blessings by numbers, have abundance of faith
Have convictions not many through God's saving grace

Say prayers to help others don't forget the amens
Find amazing guidance from God's loving hands

May we have praise in our hearts and rejoice in God's love
And seek our salvation from our Savior above.

I can't call you my Father,
And you're certainly not my Pop.
I wouldn't call you PaPa
Because to me you're certainly not.
I can't call you my Pappy,
Nor could I call you Dad.
You're definitely not my Daddy.
One of these I already have,
But I can call you Honey.
My best friend I have in you.
A loving caring husband,
A gent who's kind and true,
My guy of tender gentle words
You place within my heart.
The one who's strong and steady
And has been from the start,
A man that's more appreciated
More than I can ever say.
I'm saying this to wish you
A special Father's Day!

How can we doubt God's wondrous love
And see a pure white flying dove.
A ray of sunshine from the sky
A tiny baby peacefully lies.
See the puffy clouds among the blue
And watch the golden poppies bloom.
Hear the charming song the blue birds sing
The joy and laughter little children bring,
A loving smile on someone's face
A rainbow appearing anyplace.
How can we doubt God's wondrous love

Like dust we shall all rise in a moment, like a thief in the night
The Lord will be coming with a loud noise from the high
The moon will be darkened, the sun won't cast its shine,
The stars will be falling from the ebony sky

The power from above will come rumbling and shaken
The clouds will descend with the Lord from the heavens
With the voice of the angel, the Lord will shout
We'll be called to our Lord, and all gathered about

As God's trumpet sounds, the dead in Christ will all rise
The ones that forsake him, the ones that pierced his sides
The Son of God, every eye will see,
Everyone will bow down on bended knee

With our Lord's great coming, the elect shall rise
And meet with our Jesus in the heavenly skies
For those in Christ who remain alive,
Will join with our Master and Lord in the sky

With the blink of an eye, we will all be changed
For our new home in heaven, we will forever remain
Like the twinkle of an eye
Like dust, we shall all rise

When worries and fears I claim for my own,
When I feel helpless and all alone,
When my deepest memories come to mind
And all my sadness I leave behind,
Then yes, I'll go on laughing.
When I feel I'm going under with nothing
To hold onto,
When dark shadows cloud my senses,
My sadness and fears I'll be through.
When sweet, gentle ways have come to pass
And I get my fill of sadness at last,
Then yes, I'll go on laughing.
When I give up and go on living
And become wiser than I am,
I'll try not to cry tomorrow
So this heart and soul shall mend.
Then yes, I'll go on laughing.

How sweet is the fragrance of the roses
And a bite from the apple pie
The blossoms that bloom in the springtime
And a wink from your love ones eye

How sweet is the nectar from the honey bees hives
And music from the birds that sing
A hug from a child, a warm embrace
And the smell from a new falling rain

How sweet is the first kiss that lingers
The whisper in your ear I love you
Sweet juicy syrup from the maple tree
And the scent from the lavender perfume

Oh for this world is much sweeter
With the sweetness floating all around
It makes the world a sweeter place
And helps keep the world turning round

I didn't take a chance, so to speak
We're just following God's lead
He asked me if I would marry him
Holding hands on bended knee

He said that he would care for me
With pleasure meet my needs
He vowed to live a Christian life
And I had faith in him to believe

I remember when he whispered
It's not so much about desire
It's how our hearts beat deep inside
That sets our soul on fire

He told me he would cherish our love
And protect me as long as he lived
We would walk together forever
Until our journeys end

I knew he wouldn't cheat on his taxes
Or even cheat on me
For honesty shines bright and clear
For all God's world to see

I knew he wouldn't neglect our children
For they've been grown for quite some time
So tying a knot together would
Strengthen the ties that bind

I trusted he wouldn't desert me
When I crumbled and fell apart
For as he said what matters is
That he still held my heart

He'll be much more than spoken words
He'll be my trusting guy
Much more than luck or magic
Much more than meets the eye

So we're not taking chances
While in this world we'll be
We're sincerely counting blessings
And we're just following God's lead
