When night changes into day
we get a chance to start over again.
We can complete the things left undone
and reach back and make amends.

God protects us by His power.
We are not here by happenstance
But by a divine connection with God
He upholds us with His hand.

God oversees all that concerns us 
keeping watch night and day.
With His all-seeing eyes He leads us.
He orders our steps and direct our way.

God surrounds us with His mercy,
and He covers us with His love.
He speaks peace to our weary souls
as He looks down from up above.

God knows the way that we take,
our lives are in His hand.
And the outcome of every situation
is under His divine command.

God's all-seeing eyes are upon us.
He protects and shelters His own.
We are forever secure in His loving care
and He promises not to leave us alone.

Grandma's room is empty; she moved away.
She departed this life and is gone to stay.
There was no struggle, but with great ease
she closed her eyes and took her leave. 

My Grandma was one sweet, loving soul.
I had no doubt where she would go.
We all knew Grandma walked with God
and bound for heaven to get her reward.

No way we can know the lives she touched
because that gracious soul gave so much.
She would share her flour, sugar or meal
or say a prayer to get your body healed.

We had many talks as she sipped her tea.
She shared years of wisdom with me.
She taught me family values and to be kind,
but she always had Jesus on her mind.

"You need the Lord," is what she would say.
"You can't make it in this world no other way."
Then grandma kneeled and bowed her head
and a stirring prayer she always said.

"Lord Jesus, I want to talk to you awhile
to ask you please bless this precious child."
Then she asked the Lord to watch over me
and to please make me what I ought to be.

My life is shaped by grandma's prayers,
and I'm thankful for her being there.
Her love was evident in so many ways
in her kind words and on her smiling face.

Grandma's leaving is heaven's gain,
but one day I will see her again.
Because the Jesus that Grandma knew,
she made sure I got to know too.

When my hope fades
and all my dreams die,
and I find no answer
by asking the Lord why,

I just keep on trusting
and hold on to my faith
because our God is just
He makes no mistakes.

When life's storms come
and trials I must face,
when I find no solution
I just rest in God's grace.

When life seems unfair
and more than I can take,
I look up to the Father;
He never makes mistakes.

God knows our struggles,
He sees every bend in the road.
But no mistake is ever made
'cause He weighs every load.

At Christmas, lights burn brighter,
and friendly hugs get even tighter.
The spirit of Christmas fills the air,
and people seem to really care.

Merry hearts are filled with cheer.
Families and friends all draw near.
The streets around are all filled
despite the cold winter chill.

Everywhere there's smiling faces,
giving and receiving warm embraces.
And for a time, sadness disappear.
Peace, joy and hope replaces fear.

All because God's love came down
and filled the earth all around.
So we celebrate at Christmas time
our Savior and Lord, holy, divine!

We honor Jesus throughout the year
so the Christmas spirit will linger near.
For the story of His birth is ours to tell -
that Jesus became our Emmanuel!

Look not back on yesterday
or what you have left behind.
For only today is yours to claim,
and this moment only is your time.

Fret not on what has been
or on what has passed you by.
Yesterday is far behind you.
You can't change it if you try.

New opportunities await you.
They come with each new day,
so look ahead with faith and hope,
and blessings will come your way.

Keep faith alive in your heart.
Live full and live well each day.
Do all the good for all you can
to all those who pass your way.

Yesterday is out of your reach
and tomorrow is not yours to claim.
Only this moment belongs to you.
So use it wisely, in Jesus' name.

In the stillness of the morning,
while the world was still asleep,
the sun was hidden under cover
and silence was strong and deep.

I whispered a short prayer
with just a few choice words.
God was there in the silence,
and I knew my prayer was heard.

The restless night had been long,
and uncertainties filled my day.
Nothing calmed my restless heart,
so I knew I needed to pray.

In the silence God drew me close
until on His bosom I did lay,
and there we communed together.
No other word did I need to say.
   
I felt God's presence around me,
and my worries began to cease.
I gave the Father all my cares,
and He gave me His peace.

Glory to our loving Lord, who is a
Mighty God and a faithful friend.
His divine love for us is pure and perfect,
and His great mercy knows no end.

God comforts those who are troubled,
and to the weak He gives strength.
He fills the empty souls with joy
and makes the anxious hearts content.

Our God binds the broken spirits,
and He will calm all our fears.
God meets us in the valley of weeping,
and with His love, He dries our tears.

Our faithful Lord hears our prayers,
and He sees our hurts and pain.
He shines His light in our darkness
and sends sunshine after the rain.

God is awesome and trustworthy.
He's an amazing God, like no other.
He walks with us through hard times
and sticks closer than any brother.

There's no problem God can't solve,
and there's no need He cannot meet.
God promises to always be with us,
and every promise given, He will keep!
