I love this poem - it's a bit like one of mine on Family Friends, called 'Among the Stars'. We both obviously share the same sort of feelings inspired by the night sky. Best wishes, Ann

  • Home From Some Strange Place

My mother was always a source of truth in my life. She was the most genuine, honest person I have ever met. My mom had a way with words and was a great storyteller. She loved hearing about my relationship woes and always had plenty to say about the protagonist! Mom died in 2019. I miss her more than words can say.

  • The Snake

Perhaps you've encountered someone like my poem's protagonist in your search for romantic fun or fulfillment. Life sometimes connects us with people we feel better off never having known. But, is it really true? Lessons in love can be so painful. Some lessons help us develop wisdom and foresight. My poem is about such a lesson!

  • Take My Hand

Like many others, I was appalled by the events that occurred in Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024. In this poem I tried to capture my feelings of shock and horror yet love and hope for my country.

It's sad to think about, heartbreaking to see
Great men and women of our military
Homeless and hungry, lost in despair
Begging for someone to notice or care
