In Support Of Those Kids Who Are Bullied
Before he crawled into his bed,
He prayed his soul to take.
Then curled up in the darkness,
And spent the night awake.
Before he crawled into his bed,
He prayed his soul to take.
Then curled up in the darkness,
And spent the night awake.
A wonderful write Patricia...
This poem should be shown in every school
so kids know bullying's against the rules
That everyone has a place on this earth
to live in peace and realise...
Each day we wake is such a gift;
No moment's guaranteed.
Tomorrow isn't promised,
But to fate we must concede.
This touches my heart deeply. I believe life is more about what "IS" rather than the what "WAS" with unresolved issues between family or friends. I am in recovery with four estranged...
She waves for my attention,
So free upon the breeze.
The sun reflects her stars and stripes,
As proud as she can be.
A wonderful patriotic tribute to the stars and stripes of the American flag. Beautifully written.
in Aging Poems
Those things that meant the most to me
Are no longer in my life.
And those people most important
Have vanished now from sight.
I just love your poems - keep writing. You inspire me to keep writing myself.
in Valentine Poems to Husbands
The years have passed on Rocky Mountains.
It's been a steep and harrowing climb.
Along the way we've lost our footing.

Who grew old with time.
She bore her life story

Oh Patricia, another lovely poem. I find all your poetry so relatable - it speaks to my heart. Please keep writing. Very best wishes, Ann
in Fall Poems

Fall is my favorite time of the year, too, and Patricia spells it out beautifully! I am able to 'see' all that she is talking about. From "the pumpkins on my front porch" and "the crimson...
I watch the hands on the clock tick by
And I wonder where time goes.
Will this be the year to end all years?
Well, only God can know.
Excellent poem, as always. Keep writing...
Very best wishes,
Ann
in Snow Poems
We awakened to the whitest light
Seeping through the blinds.
We leapt from bed and to the windows
To take a probing peek outside.
Your poem is so beautifully written and contains such vivid images! It takes me right back to my childhood. I can almost feel the ice crystals hitting my face!
Best wishes,
Virginia
I'm slipping back into that hole
And my hopes are wearing thin.
I try to take a different path
Still, I hear it beckoning.
Another great poem. I've had depression, but not quite as bad. However, it's great that you can write about it, as I'm sure it will connect with many people who know exactly what you are...
