There's a hum from the bees in the air
which stirs up gentle musings in my mind,
scented blossom is making me aware
of certain hidden treasure they may find.

A shadow walks beside me
in the rising rays

Another of your fun poems - keep it up! Best wishes, Ann.
Great to read a poem which leaves a smile on my face. More please. Best wishes, Ann.
When my husband was still a boy he was given this poem by his uncle and learnt it by heart. It is very much how he lived his life. The poem was read immaculately by his grandson at his memorial service.
I'm so glad you promoted this poem of yours, as it made me look up the other poems you have with Family Friends. I found I agreed with so many of the sentiments you put across in your poetry. Very best wishes, Ann.
Very moving. My father, brother and husband were in the armed forces, so this poem means a lot to me. Very best wishes, Ann.
