I Believed You

I believed when you said that you loved me,
I believed when you said you would never leave me,
I believed when you said you had to study,
I even believed you again when you said you and me forever.
Now I know you are nothing but a liar and a cheater; you are a betrayer.
I let you in my world and you destroyed it,
I gave you my heart and you broke it.
What else would you have done to me if you had gotten the chance?
You know what I can't believe most of all,
The mere fact that I even believed you. . . .
