Best Friend Poem

A Declaration Of Love For A Lifetime Of Friendship

I found my best friend in the whole wide world in the fifth grade. That was more than 40 years ago. We've shared everything life throws at you. Two years ago, I almost lost her to Covid. I honestly didn't know how I would navigate life without her friendship. We live a couple of hours from each other but talk every morning as we drive to work. I wrote this poem to tell our story.

Life's Journey With You

In life's grand tapestry, woven with laughter and tears,
Through more than four decades, we conquered our fears.
Side by side, we share our secrets untold,
Through whispers and laughter, our stories unfold.

In the divine plan orchestrated from above,
God's hand brought us together with infinite love.
We both know our Savior and live by the faith,
Guided by His love is our friendship of grace.

Among trials and triumphs, we navigate life's storms,
We live joyous moments and comfort in times to mourn.
Amidst losses and loves, through children and strife,
You've been my rock for most of my life.

With each passing year, our bond tightly grows,
Like the deepest river, our friendship flows.
You're more than a friend; you are family to me,
A sister in spirit, through eternity.

Daily prayers are whispered that the other be blessed,
Through life's ordeals, our resolve is manifested.
May our lives be forever tied until this life's end,
Your Sister in Christ and Forever Best Friend.
