The Architect
in Life Lesson Poems
I stand here staring
at the open lot of an acre full of guilt,
overwhelmed by the selfish weeds and brush,
and mounds of stubborn graveled rock

TRUE HAPPINESS comes
through struggle and pain,
As a rainbow appears
only after the rain.
We're gathered together in tribute to pay,
A life that was lost, yet still paving the way,
And in spite of our mourning, all is not grey,
For heaven received a new angel today.
in Poems about Spirituality
When you offered the plan
That would make men free,
Was I there?
Did you call upon me?
Ha! Now you're just flattering me ;) Truly it means a GREAT deal to me to hear that, Ann. More than you know...
Looking forward to your next masterpiece.
Best,
Doug.
When choices present throughout the whole day
Enticing you to go this or that way
With convincing arguments that both sides portray;
I find answers are oft in the middle.
in Hope Poems
You slipped and fell
We all have too
So please don't think
That it's just you
I truly appreciate the outreach, Ann! Your encouraging words help me to believe that I'm, hopefully, at least touching a few hearts... which is all we can ask for really as we share a piece...
There's a need for more bridges than fences
There's a need for more love and less hate
There's a need for more laughers than critics
There's a need for more use and less waste
I agree with every word in this poem - well said. Very best wishes, Ann
in God Poems
The batteries of a flashlight
or a luminescent wristwatch
will die over time;
HIS light is immortal.
When half of your body
fails to respond,
And words and phrases
are there, but then gone...
