Relationship Poem

Who Are They For?

It started out as a poem for someone I miss very dearly, my Mother. There's also someone very special that I know, that doesn't know how I feel about them. It kind of teases, until you get to the end, but it leaves that particular person wondering. It was intentional. It's a story that won't ever happen because of our difference in ages. Maybe it will give someone else hope...

Hidden Feelings

Have you ever loved someone so much, that you don't know how to tell them, but you wish that you did?
Unexplained yearnings, that start, ya know, when you were just a kid?

Trying to tell that person of your love, and how you should fit together like a hand in a glove; to endure any type of weather...
True birds of a feather.

Oh, how I long for that feeling.
From the floor, all the way to the ceiling.
My heart keeps reeling.

I missed all those opportunities, so many times.
Now I'm trying my best, to tell you in my rhymes.

Let me make this clear...I wish that you were still here, Mom.
My heart still hurts so much...and I still long for your soft, sweet touch.
