I sat at my dresser this morn
And opened the bottom drawer
To try and find which mask to wear
That I hadn't worn the day before
Will today I be a temptress
Or should I be a clown
Should I put on a face that smiles
Am I in the mood for a frown
I sifted through each individual one
Unable to decide
Which one should I wear
Which one would my mood abide
I passed right over melancholy
And quickly flipped by depressed
Sadness did not suit me
Overjoyed just wasn't the best
Angry didn't make the cut
Flirtatious called my name
But I decided against it
Not feeling like playing games
I picked up sort of tearful
But cast it quickly aside
I laughed at dry sarcasm
Didn't even look at snide
So which mask should I wear today
Which one will suit me best
Since I can't decide on one
I think I'll just wear BLESSED

Gasping for air
I cling, I cling
to whatever's left
to anything

Walls closing in
room spins, room spins
Getting so dizzy
this ride needs to end

Fist hammers down
the pain, the pain
Sunshine is gone
There's nothing but rain

Fall to my knees
I cave, I cave
Tide swept me up
now I'm lost in the waves

Too tired to fight
Can't cope, can't cope
No way to regain
my repossessed hope

No moon tonight
Darkness creeps in
Into my soul
Into my heart
Wondering, wondering
Can't stop pondering
This morose condition
Tearing me apart

No moon tonight
Angst grows nigh
Tearing me down
Building a wall
Hammering, Hammering
Voices are murmuring
No one to catch me
and I'm gonna fall

No moon tonight
South grows quiet
There's no breeze
No rustling leaves
Pounding, Pounding
Insecurities hounding
Who will bare witness
as sanity flees

No moon tonight
Darkness creeps in
Into my thoughts
Into my head
Taking, taking
pill to stop shaking
so that I may crawl
into a restless bed

Kiss me in the morning when the sun shines through the shades
Pull me tight against you putting off the start of day
Tell me that you love me, then please tell me again
Place those kisses on my forehead, on my nose and on my chin

I feel your heat arising as the sun rays warm this room
With eyes closed tight I feel your hands dispelling all the gloom
I curl up on my side with my knees drawn to my chest
Envisioning all those things I know that you do best

Please kiss me on this morning; let your lips awaken mine
We’ll stay right here all day and just leave this world behind
I’ll do all those little things you see within your dreams
Take my time, I’ll take it slow and then to the extreme

Oh! Kiss me in the morning as I hunger just for you
Whisper all those things that let me know your heart is true
What was that? A shadow passing o’er the new day’s sun
With opened eyes, I am alone…the fantasy was fun

One thousands beats per second
It hammers ‘gainst my chest
I feel it in my temples
Tonight there’ll be no rest

Tortured is the breathing
Fast and shallow til it’s gone
Air that’s so elusive
In this fight to fill my lungs

A mind out of control
Thoughts will not be still
People think I’m crazy
Illusions can be real

Floating round in vertigo
Raw throat can’t make a sound
Get me off this ride!
The world keeps spinning round

Tiny little tremors
Turn to quakes beneath my skin
Every limb is shaking
It seems there’ll be no end

Then here comes the thoughts
Oh, the thoughts are just a beast!
Tumors, cancer, heart-attack
On lies this mind will feast

It’s when every little ache
And every little pain
Is blown out of proportion
Courtesy of my brain

I crawl into my shell awhile
Until this horror ends
Until the monster lets me go…
In panic’s grip again

Two hearts broken, torn and bleeding
Stumbling through the darkest days
They collide and resume their beating
Speeding up along the way

Two hearts long for tender moments
So long since they yearned at length
Numbness of both man and woman
Clinging to each other's strengths

Two hearts that have lost the battles
of life's little lessons learned
Find each other in the darkness
and a bright new love is spurned

Two hearts that had given up on
any hope that they would mend
Finally entwine round each other
Love gone is now found again

Two hearts touching in the darkness
All ice melts under the heat
Steamy drops of water soften
winter chill when two hearts meet
