I am your bridesmaid in heaven, watching you from above.
On your wedding day, I am sending you all my love.

Sorry my time was cut short and I can't be with you today!
If you could hear me, "I hope you can feel my presence," is what I would say.

I am around you in the little things: the bird singing a special song;
I am the butterfly that lingers, staying extra long;

I am the clouds shaped like an angel, floating softly in the sky;
I am the white feather you found so randomly that made you start to cry;

I am the rainbow that appears so suddenly right after the storm.
Today is your day to be happy; for me you must not mourn!

I am your bridesmaid in heaven, the one you cannot see,
But at every special moment in your life is where I will be!

Ring this bell loud, today is your day!
Your last day of chemo hip hip hooray!
Go home and celebrate and give a good cheer!
Spend time with your loved ones whom you hold dear.
Remember where you were and how far you've come.
And remember GOD'S GOT THIS so you've already won!

Winter oh winter, how long will you stay?
Winter good old winter will you ever go away?
I liked you in the beginning and in the middle you were fine!
But, can someone pass me some crackers to go with my whine?
You just keep on hanging on and you are super cold and wet.
We have nothing in common, let's pretend we never met!

Winter, oh winter have you ever met spring?
Did you know that pastel colors were even a thing?
You're like an old boyfriend who doesn't want to have fun.
Didn't I tell you a long time ago how we are just done?

Spring happy spring you are a fresh breath of air.
Winter won't leave us so we must have an affair!
Pretend you can't see all the fresh fallen snow.
Or maybe you can warm the air and away it will go!

I love you spring I can finally wear shorts
Your temperature is perfect according to the weather report.
Not too cold and not too hot is how you usually flow.
You are like the perfect boyfriend who makes me glow.

Oh no spring watch out Summer is on its way!
Summer comes in hot and will make you go astray.
Summer is not perfect, summer burns me all the time.
Spring ole spring you will always be mine!

We got rid of summer, but did I ever mention fall?
Oops my mistake Spring you are such a doll.
I know fall seems scary as things start to die.
And the ghosts and goblins in the wind you hear cry.

If winter could talk this is what it would say,
I am sorry my welcome I did overstay!
But, don't remember the bad, just remember the fun!
Don't you remember when we met on your favorite ski run?
The times you made snowballs and hit people in the face
Or the times you hopped on a sled and said come on let's race!

Remember I have the most important job of them all.
I have to make sure the mountains have enough snow fall!
You must have enough water all year round.
So let's not cuss in the spring when there is snow on the ground!
No I am not perfect and sometimes I mess up.
But remember I try hard to always catch up!

Spring says sorry I am not perfect I really hate to say.
But I am not as harsh as winter and you like me that way.
I just have a couple of faults that I hate to even mention.
But, remember the year you had to do flood prevention?
Yup, me and winter we kind of got into a fight.
I poured rain on its snow until it melted just right.

Summer piped up and said sorry I am so scorching hot,
Sorry when I burn you, was sunscreen just an afterthought?
You knew you needed protection, what can I say?
Maybe next time you should think before we play!
Are you always miserable, is anything just right?
Seems like you have a beef with all seasons and you just want to fight!

Fall murmured oh yes summer is so right on!
Sorry I come in and cause such a fright and you want me gone.
When a storm rolls in, don't sit and complain.
Step outside and learn to dance in the rain!
You must appreciate the good that each season provides
And feel lucky you live in a place where four seasons reside!

What kind of pet do you think I should get?
A lion, a tiger, or maybe an egret?

My parents said I am responsible and can have whatever I wish.
A hippopotamus, a zebra, or maybe a fish?

What about a giraffe that I can feed from my upstairs bed?
Or would I have to climb up on the roof when it needs fed?

Maybe a lion who is a king and I can be the prince?
Do you think my parents I would have to convince?

There are monkeys and gorillas and snakes of all types!
But I think a cobra or boa constrictor would cause my mom to gripe!

Maybe an elephant, but they have such big poop!
A dump truck is what you would need if you had to poop scoop!

What about a camel with one or two humps?
I think if I rode it lot it would start to hurt my rump!

Or a polar bear like I saw at the zoo?
Does that mean I would have to live in an igloo?

I just can't decide what I should choose?
Do you think an alligator my parents would refuse?

What about a shark that could live in my pool?
But who would feed it and pet it while I am away at school?

Maybe a grizzly bear; half the year they go to sleep.
Never mind, it might attack my neighbor's herd of sheep!

My little sister said, "Why don't you get a skunk?"
I told her I think that's the worst idea anyone's ever thunk!

It seems like the perfect animal is really hard to pick!
Maybe the best one would be a little baby chick?

I must think about this for just a little while more.
It's too hard to just pick one; will my parents let me choose four?

My mom said she was thinking more like a cat or a dog!
Or maybe it could be a gerbil or a frog.

Let's go to the animal shelter and see what needs a good home.
As for all the other animals, let them be wild and free and let them roam.

We went to the shelter and picked out two!
A cat named Pinky and a dog named Blue.

Both had been abandoned and left to die.
It broke my heart and made me cry!

So if your parents ever let you get a pet,
Head to a shelter and save some lives and have no regret!

The photos show the aftermath the scene in our head we try not to replay.
Shooting after shooting seems to be the theme every day!

Who was the shooter this time were they leaning left or right?
Who is the one who started another political fight?

Politicians can't feel safe anywhere, not even on their own porch.
Evil shows up everywhere with a gun or sometimes a torch.

They say I don't agree with you politically or I hate your religious views.
Tomorrow everyone will know who I am, because I will be all over the news.

Can we even have a civil debate without bullets showering the crowd?
If someone you don't like politicly is killed, do you say "good he deserved it" out loud?

Or do you think those thoughts quietly? Which is probably just as bad.
Are you teaching hatred to your children, so they grow up to just like mom and dad?

Or do you teach love and tolerance and that everyone deserves a voice?
Do you teach instead of killing we go to the polls to make our choice?

Do you teach your kids to respect others even if they disagree?
Or in a heated conversation do you get mad and yell "YOU'RE NOT LISTENING TO ME"?

Do you check in on your kids when they are on their phones for hours and hours each day?
Or are you happy their phones are entertaining them, so with them you don't have to play?

Do you know who your children's friends are, in person and online?
If the friends are friends with the Devil, then it's only a matter of time!

Did you know that evil comes in many shapes and forms, and social media can be just one?
Sometimes it used for good, but many times it's where Satan has his fun!

Satan's ultimate goal is to divide us, so we don't speak to our family and friends!
If we let this happen then guess who will win and gloat in the very end?

We can all be tolerant of each other and still have our own voice.
When it comes to violence and anger then walk away and make that your first choice!

Do not say words you might regret or let the rage get the best of you!
Instead say a little prayer in your head "Dear god help me represent and tell me what to do!

Help me be the person you want me to be and a good example to all!
Someday at Christ's feet is where I would like for me and my family to fall".

If everyone started to be like Christ, then Satan will not win!
But if Satan gets the best of us then he will say "look I got them" with a big grin!

In the end you ask who is winning this horrible evil war?
It's not the right or the left, but Satan knocking at our door!

No matter what side you are on do not let Satan prevail!
Instead say "you won't get me today Satan so march your ass back to hell!"
