She can't be forever,
That girl in the picture.
Outward beauty is fleeting
And her purpose, a blur.
in Life Lesson Poems
She can't be forever,
That girl in the picture.
Outward beauty is fleeting
And her purpose, a blur.
You'll always be too hard to handle.
I'll always be too cold to touch.
So, that does beg the question;
Why did I love you so much?
Today I will leave
And without a fair trade.
I don't care if this hurts you.
It was your bed you made.
She may seem alive
But she's dead inside.
How can one live
When the important things died?
This hit me hard. This is exactly what I felt every day. Without my "friends" I had nothing to think about. I felt numb. With them I can't think about what's happening inside my head.
in Valentine's Day Poems to Him
You gave me light
On my darkest of days.
You showed me love
In so many ways.
I love how the author states her gratitude towards her man. It's true that men don't always share their emotions with us ladies. It's what they do that speaks volumes.
