Libraries are not just places for books. They are also full of exciting events. Check out your local library to see what they are doing to celebrate National Poetry Month.

If they do not have events scheduled, talk to the director to see if you can help them set up a night where people come to read aloud their favorite poems or poems they’ve written.

You might even have ideas for events on writing poetry. Discuss these with the director, and ask how you can get involved to celebrate National Poetry Month.

Don’t forget to check out a poetry book or two while you’re there.
