Oh! Lord, Don't Leave Me Now

Oh! Lord, don't leave me now,
when I need you most.
Oh! Lord, please tell me how
I got myself so lost.

I had all I needed
in the palm of my hand,
but because of my greed,
I lost my only friend.

Oh! Lord, don't leave me, please.
I can't do this alone.
I'm begging you on my knees.
I can't live on my own.

Oh! Lord, Almighty God!
You are wise and strong,
And you are all I've got.
How could I be so wrong?

Oh! Lord, forgive me, please.
I know I have sinned.
Oh! Lord, don't punish me.
Now I'm sober and clean.

Oh! Lord, don't leave me now,
when I need you most.
I will work things out
because not all is yet lost.
