The time soon comes for parting,
And our time is at an end.
The rest of your life is starting,
And we have no time at all to spend.

You knew one day you'd have to go,
But thought you'd have more time.
We can't reverse time's one-way flow,
But at least you'll have this rhyme.

You had your shining moments,
Upon this life's darkened stage,
And in my book of wonderments
You'll never be just another page.

Like the exploding of a star,
You've changed me in and out.
Your light will travel with me far,
Past when all other lights go out.

I get too attached to my teacher. She's like my second mom. I even think that she knows me better than anyone else. But she's going to leave, so it's heartbreaking. She said we can still communicate through the internet, but it's just not the same when you can talk personally. I'm going to miss her so much.

I know how you feel. I have a teacher like that. She got offered a job somewhere else and it's heartbreaking.

I exactly know how you feel. I have this close teacher of mine who is about to leave and I only knew about it a month ago. I wasn't really prepared for it. It took me a month to contemplate and think of all the things I could have said to her and a week to prepare all the things that will remind her of me. She also said that we could still communicate through the internet. I totally agree with you when you said that it's just not the same to communicate with her personally. I feel sad but she assured me that we will still get to see each other soon. Her last note was, "See you when I see you." I really don't know when that day will come, but I guess all I have to do is to wait for God's perfect time. I will surely miss her so much.

I am a teacher and currently in the process of leaving one job to go to another. I have about five students that I know feel like this about me. Trust that your teacher feels as strongly about you as you do about her (I have secretly cried rivers about leaving these guys). I hope she will stay in touch. I know it's not the same as face to face but you'll always have her in your life and you will find your new person for that face to face stuff. xx

I'm moving away to a different country to start high school and continue my life. This means that I'll be leaving my best friend behind. We could talk over the internet, but I don't think that will work out for us. I have slightly altered this poem and plan on reading it to her as a means to end our friendship. I am going to miss her, but it's for the best.

I have a friend named Moana. She is going to move to Japan while I am overseas at another country. She told me that she'd try to come back, but she says she can only come back in 5 years. Also, my friend Jewel, who left me an even longer time ago said the same thing but I've never seen her since then. All of my close friends have to leave me.

Me and the love of my life split 4 up years ago after an unholy row and she emigrated to Canada.
We kept in touch and I always believed she would come back to me.
I heard from a mutual friend that she had married last year which ripped me apart as I had never ever stopped loving her.
She turned up last month out of the blue with a new baby daughter to attend a family funeral and we got together a couple of times to catch up.
It was just so obvious that we still loved one another, however she was settled in Canada, but crucially not in love and had no choice but to return.
She left me yesterday to go back to her husband and I may never see her again, I am distraught and have cried all day, life is just soooooo cruel.
To K M-B, I will love you till the day I die xxx

My best friend passed away.... We grew up with each other playing all the sports you can think of I'm serious. LOL. We even invented a few lol man oh man I miss him because he was my brother, my other half. I would go to him when I struggled. He was my shoulder to lean on and now he's gone. You'll never be forgotten.

I had this guy who was my friend and we had to go separate ways so now each and every time I think of him and dream of him
he tried to come back to me but I refused.
But I can't get him out of my mind and it's been a year now since we separated
I just can't get him out of my mind. With out surprise I dreamed of him this night we were very good friends, and I will never forget him.
NEVER !!!!

Right now I'm going through a really tough time with a ...I guess former friend of mine. Being a teenager stinks. And even though it seems we can't patch things up and we can't go back to the way things were...I hope I can apply this poem to my own life and be able to let her go but keep the memories that we shared.... This poem makes me less scared. I have a really hard time letting things go..
