Goodbye Love Poem

Poem About Loving Someone Who Is Unattainable

This poem is about the feelings of loving someone you know you can't have. I loved someone that just wasn't good for me and it left me with hopeless feelings. I finally started to realize that if we were meant to be, it would be. I let fate decide.

So I guess I could lie and say I tried
But the truth I can't deny
I loved you, but you were beyond my reach
You were a battle I couldn't defeat
You were the brightest star in my sky
But also the farthest
It was coincidence that brought us together
And fate that tore us apart

Mother died before I could say goodbye. Oh mother, how I lament your passing ......While you were hungry we were fed...... You wept in secret while we slept .....You gave so much yet we gave so little ....With kindness and love you kept us safe...... Time passed us by without the embraces we should have gave..... Yet we loved you so much but we did not show it .....With tears we remember the precious memories now past....May you rest a while till you stand once more ,and I will give you my hand. And I say I love you mum.
