Prayer Poem

Never Giving Up Hope In God

When I lost my son I was a young mother. I knew Jesus just as I know Him today, but when I lost my son I would often think that God had left me. I was angry for a long time and asked why did the Lord allow that happen to me? I had been going through one trial after another one. I suffered a stroke at twenty five and therefore I began to write when I never had the ability before.

Father, my love for You I'll never hide.
I almost became an unbeliever when my son died.
When life gets so hard, I don't want to backslide.
My Holy Bible I never want to just set it aside.
Your son Jesus, I've never ever denied.
Jesus went to Calvary, on the cross for me, He died.
If I had been there, I would've never left His side.
When I think of His goodness, I get a funny feeling inside.
Lord, will You please be my guide?
Don't let me fall by the wayside.
