Miss You Haiku

I lost the one I love. Her eyes are burned into my soul. She is gone and I can't let her go.

Scarred by beauty.

I love the description. I also love your choice of words.

My best friend Wendy wrote a poem about our mutual friend, Lyndon, who died on September 25th 3 years ago. So sadly 1 year later, Wendy, my dearest and best friend, committed suicide. I have been left alone, and I miss both of them so much. The three of us shared such happy times together. Wendy and Lyndon, I love you both so very much, and I wish we were together again.

I am so sorry that your two best friends died. It was very depressing to here that Wendy committed suicide. I am very truly sorry to hear about Wendy and Lyndon.

Lyndon, you have left a small hole in my heart. You were my friend, the one who could light up my darkness with your smile, a smile so beautiful that no matter how I felt inside, I could not help but smile back. You never spoke of your pain but you didn't fool me. I could see it, a tangible thing you carried with you - a cold and silent rock. Yet your laughter still rings in my ears, that beautiful sound that defied the rock of depression. You still had so much love in your heart and I would watch it come alive when you spoke on the phone to your son and your mum.
You left us too soon Lyndon. You were gentle and brave. You listened to me when the darkness descended and you gave me comfort. Even though you, too, were hurting inside. I will miss you always, Lyndon, reminded by that small hole you left in my heart.
May you rest in peace for all time. May you suffer no pain again. I send you my love to carry you on your way.
