Writing Poetry Comes Naturally To Me

I have an epic lust to express myself in rhyming form. For some reason, the more emotionally attached I am to a subject the easier the poetry simply pours out of me.

It just comes naturally to me,
I confess.
Writing a verse
is like taking my next breath.

Pick any theme,
I'll devour it whole.
Choose any topic,
I'll tremble your soul.

Taunted by adjectives,
haunted by verbs.
Visions of wisdom,
quotations and slurs.

Similes, metaphors,
pain and regret,
all of these things
dance around in my head.

Somehow they fuse
in a wonderful way.
Structure themselves
in an epic display.

Feather and ink,
and I'm ready to go.
Capture a moment
of life with a flow.
