Long Distance Poem

I wrote this poem for a special crush. Someone I have never met who is suffering from a joint disorder and is in immense pain. I want to show her that I want to feel the way she does and I have a distant connection with her through the stars. If she feels like she can't catch that falling star, then I will catch the moment for her and one day when we are together I will express to her what it was like to feel for her at the time.

Our One Star

Look at the stars tonight
As we see the same light
And in that moment
It will be all right

If you miss a falling star
I'll catch it for you
Keep it in my heart
And we can share it too

Keep holding on
As life goes along
Pain is short-lived
As you are so strong

I will hold your hand
And look in your eyes
But it is only then
That our star will shine

I used this poem to tell my man I miss him. He's a marine stationed in Japan and I'm here in the states. Soon, it will be even harder because I am joining the military too. It's something very new for both of us but this poem was great to help me express that its going to be fine.

That is beautiful... Hope she's a lot better now.. Was in her position at one time.. With a man I was in love with who was far away.. So your poem really did get to me..
