Poem About Strength From God During Sickness

I was diagnosed in 2012 with Chronic Pancreatic Disease. My life completely changed from having a new career, children, and boyfriend, to losing it all.
When going through a life changing illness, it is hard to imagine your future. Somewhere along the way I lost my strength, courage, hope and faith. The stages of depression, fear, and anger begin to take over. But I didn't want these emotions to take over the rest of my life. I made a choice to gain back what I had lost.

Pray Tonight

Close your eyes and pray tonight
That God will guide you to His light.

He stands beside you when things are calm.
He stands beside you when all goes wrong.

He lifts us up when we can't see.
He lifts us up to set us free.

So pray, pray, pray-have no fear.
The God of love is standing near

To guide us through our darkest days
And lift us up so we may praise.

I thank the Lord above
For sending down His gifts of love.
