The Power Of Wings

What if the sky was pink
and the trees were red
People were purple
and giraffes had two heads

What if elephants could fly
but birds could not
Would they say why not me
and feel sorry for their lot

And if they should ask the giraffe
with two brains
What should we do with these
wings so lame

Would the two headed giraffe
answer in reply
or gentle lift them up to the sky
Place them in the bough of
a beautiful red tree

Then watch as they fly off
singing with glee!
