Keep your eyes on the prize
Watching for the finish line
Taking in another breath of air
You realize in just a few minutes
That you will be there

A few more seconds,
Your feet are pounding pavement
And in a few more moments
You'll have finally made your statement

Almost at the end
Never slowing your pace
Laughing at those behind you
As you keep your spot in first place

This is everyday life
Trying to break through the pack
And now that you're finally ahead
You will never have to look back
