    Feeling Dead And Empty Inside

    in Depression Poems

"How are you?" ask the blinded eyes
"I'm doing good." comes the cheerful reply
Across my face a smile is painted
One that looks perfect and untainted

How am I supposed to trust You
When You feel so far away?
How can I grow closer to You
When it is here I am forced to stay?

I know this feeling well. I have been there a few times. In a way, I feel like that now. For me, when I was so, so lost I picked a church in my town and went one Sunday and sat in the back...

Poem About Overcoming Feelings Of Inadequacy

    in Poems about Spirituality

What a pathetic girl, staring back into the mirror.
What a timid girl, overcome by fear.
What a shell of a girl, locked up inside.
What a forgotten girl, pushed off to the side.

Amazing poem! So beautifully and well written. I strongly relate to this poem, because I love to treasure those memories of special moments. This makes me picture my teacher, who has helped me through so much. Now I am going to have to move on without him. You have great talent!
