Sing to me, Autumn, with the rustle of your leaves.
Breathe on me your spicy scents that flow within your breeze.

Dance with me, Autumn, your waltz that bends the boughs of trees.
Now tell me all the secrets you've whispered to the seas.

Sleep with me, Autumn, beneath your starlit skies.
Let your yellow harvest moon shimmer in our eyes.

Kiss me, Autumn, with your enchanting spellbound ways
That changes all you touch into crimson golden days.

Love me, Autumn, and behold this love so true
That I'll be waiting faithfully each year to be with you.

Sun with his artistic touch,
streaks skies of blue with rosy blush,
trimming Oak and Maple too,
crimson reds with yellow hue.

Birch and Hemlock, purple and gold,
apples, pumpkins bright and bold,
burns by day and cools by night,
cloaking trees in fiery might.

Wispy winds and tumbling leaves,
cypress scents within the breeze,
starry eves and harvest moon,
sets the stage for crickets' tune.

As spiders spin their tapestry
and crickets sing in symphony,
their final song of destiny,
it's clear for all the world to see,
Autumn's vibrant majesty!

With angels on this summer day,
you never woke; you slipped away.

Now day just dims into the night.
I always wake in sorrow's light.

Your smile, your face, not in my sight.
Your precious memories I hold tight.

My son won't rise from this day on.
Time has stopped; my days don't dawn.

No, not a dream, I'm here to stay.
I cannot breathe past this long day when angels took my son away,

How is my life to carry on?
So empty since my son is gone.

A mother's grief, a window of tears.
Same long, long day into my years!

I pierce this veil of life and death
with purest love within my depth.

No, not a dream; I'm here to stay
within this long, long summer day.

Suffering up close is so different from afar,
it's the supreme test in life,
to show what strengths there are.

Will I have the strength,
to watch the pain I do not bare,
and help another through her cross
which she does not want to share.

Can I help her make it through the night,
until the dawn appears,
and will I be able to comfort her and wipe away her fears?

Yes, suffering up close is so different from afar,
You know when you've been through it,
when your heart wears sorrow's scar.

Reminiscent melodies
serenade the morning breeze.

Feathered creatures nest with care
in cherry blossoms pink and fair.

Perfumed scent of roses flow.
Tiny blades of green grass grow.

Misty showers soak the earth,
glorious colors come to birth.

Gathering clouds come and go,
rain, sun, and vibrant bow.

Dainty petals, fancy flair,
dancing in the warm, sweet air.

Violets, yellows, purest white,
graceful, gentle, welcomed sight.

Thank you, oh sweet lovely Spring,
patiently waiting the charms you bring!

Warm fall afternoons,
crisp cool eves with harvest moons,
crickets singing tunes,

Candy apples sweet,
crunchy leaves beneath my feet,
Autumn is complete!

Shimmering lakes of silvery ice
welcomes skaters' scarring slice.
Hills adorned in lacy white
watch children sleigh into the night.
In the brilliant pristine light,
snow birds in tall trees take flight.
Evergreens draped in capes of snow,
their heavy branches hanging low,
blanket earth as north winds blow.
Winter's dance is quite a show,
an ice-kissed, dazzling, magical place,
transformed by winter's cold embrace!

Life's brevity, so bittersweet,
depends upon just one heartbeat.

Brief as dusk and swift as dawn,
twilight hour, has come and gone.

Like waves that kiss a sandy shore,
returning to the ocean floor,

and brilliant stars that streak the sky,
must bid the universe goodbye,

and so it is with you and I,
and so it is with you and I.

So, play in waves that kiss the shore.
Enjoy the twilight hours more,

and wish upon the stars that shine,
for only now is yours and mine,

and so it is with you and I
till this brief life we bid goodbye!

As she tip-toes cross the sea,
she slips in so subtly.

Sharing her charms upon the earth,
kissing nature with rebirth.

She is fair and whimsical;
somewhat lackadaisical.

She lives her life in a childish way,
never planning day to day.

Spreading her wings of soft warm winds,
this is how her journey begins.

She likes to make her presence known,
with lavender scents that's all her own,

she travels with the Monarch king,
on her finger like an elegant ring.

Tucked inside her sachet purse
are fireflies she will disperse,

A lilac bouquet full of honey suckle rose,
cascades down her arm to the tip of her toes.

Dressed in golden rays of light,
her mantle laced in blue and white,

her lush trail of emerald green,
her ruffled hem of florals seen,
from coast to coast and in between.

In her glory she holds her torch high,
warming the waters and lighting the sky.

Suddenly she begins to cry,
she even has to wonder why.

Temperamental she can be,
her thunderous voice and raging sea.

Though she calms down quite beautifully,
ribbons of rainbows she paints in the sky,
as she continues to pass on by.

She's as wild as the waves in the ocean,
as gentle as her sweet southern breeze,

she tends to all the nectar,
that flows within the trees.

She rests by where the willows weep,
and roams through fields of amber wheat.

She hides in forests dark and deep,
and climbs up to the mountain peak,

then soars to valleys down below,
there she watches orchards grow.

When evening comes, she wanders off into the starlit skies,
and gazes at the heavens with her sapphire eyes.

She dreams of dawns tomorrow,
when her ventures begin anew,
waking all the earth by sprinkling morning dew.

She is so very fickle,
she will not stay too long,

never wears her welcome out,
where she can not belong.

Soon there will come a day,
we will feel her presence gone,

she has crossed the vast horizon,
where she must triumph on.

She's known by many names throughout the land and sea,
but we just call her Summer; she lives eternally!
