Fall Poem

Autumn Personification Poem

Since I was a child, I've loved the season of autumn. I love its return each year with its vibrant magical colors, warm bright days, the change from the heat of summer into cool but crystal clear sparkling nights, and the aroma of the woods and spice in the atmosphere. It's like a familiar loved one or friend who's back for a visit. It's the same season each year, but it's always new and refreshing. We share our lives with the seasons. As we mature, we understand ourselves and all the world more intimately.

Sing To Me, Autumn

Sing to me, Autumn, with the rustle of your leaves.
Breathe on me your spicy scents that flow within your breeze.

Dance with me, Autumn, your waltz that bends the boughs of trees.
Now tell me all the secrets you've whispered to the seas.

Sleep with me, Autumn, beneath your starlit skies.
Let your yellow harvest moon shimmer in our eyes.

Kiss me, Autumn, with your enchanting spellbound ways
That changes all you touch into crimson golden days.

Love me, Autumn, and behold this love so true
That I'll be waiting faithfully each year to be with you.

"Sleep with me, Autumn, beneath your starlit skies! Let your yellow harvest moon, shimmer in 'my' eyes!"

Oooh, I can feel it and see it! I am back in full autumnal colors of the trees that I get to see on my walks with my dog!
'Oaky smoke-filled air!'
'Leaves crunching underneath my feet!'
Spectacular!

Beauty, creativity, and amazing word play all in one morsel! This poem shares nature and gives you the most autumny feel when you read it. Between words like "Starlit" and the repetition at the start of each stanza, this is a masterpiece. Purely exquisite. Keep writing!

The poem of the day, "Sing To Me Autumn," resonates with me. Having been born in this month, Autumn has always been my favorite part of the year. I, too, have written many poems on the subject, as well as Published a book of poetry titled "Autumn Calls" in 2015. This poem of the day is beautifully penned by Patricia.

Thank you so much for complimenting my poem, Janet. I am so pleased you enjoyed it and flattered you took the time to comment about it. I wish you well with your poetry and your books. Autumn is such an amazing season and has so much beauty to offer and write about and share.
Sincerely, Patricia L Cisco

It is a beautiful poem about autumn, and it has been portrayed in words beyond my reach.

This poem beautifully provides us an opportunity to feel connected with nature. As human beings, we have been born in the lap of nature, have grown under the protection of nature, but we’ve gone away from nature because of materialistic reasons. This poem shows us that true happiness will be found again in the lap of nature. That’s why it has touched my heart. Thanks for the post.

Yes, I am touched. The poet has nicely put up the beauty of nature. Nature is love, and love is nature. There is nothing out of nature. I appreciate the poet for the way nature and love is narrated. I like to go through more poems of this nature from the poet.

Wow, this poem just touched me with a warm feeling. As if I were driving down a most awesome country back road cherishing a beautiful vision and a lofty idea in my heart that one day the world will come to realize that it's only due to God's creation.

From the mind of the writer to the heart of the reader I feel is the best way that I can show my feelings in word about this poem.
