Poem About A Long Distance Relationship

I am inspired by the love of my girlfriend. She is a beautiful Iranian woman whom I met almost a year ago. We hope to be together soon!

How did this happen I continue to ask?
As I get online waiting for time to pass
You are now fast asleep half a world away
This distance is nothing, I mumble away
I never loved another who was so very sweet
I look forward to rubbing your feet
The smell of your skin, the warmth of your touch
Is all I want and so very much
As I ask permission to view your cam
My heart beats heavy; there is sweat in my hand
To be with you is my only dream
As the time passes I can't help but scream
Pulling my hair and stomping the ground
Please turn on your cam to see my frown
My frown turns around as I see you smile
Yes, I know baby, you leave in a while
Long distance love is hard to grasp
But our love for each other will surely last!

Very nice poem, my girlfriend and I are in a similar situation. I live in the UK and she lives in California, 8 hour time difference. Luckily, I work freelance most of the time, so I'm able to adjust to her schedule for the most part, much to the dismay of family and friends here, but it's more than worth it to spend as much time as I can with her. We're hoping to move to Paris for a time in a year or so before traveling Europe. I hope that happens, as it would be like a dream come true.

I'm in the same situation. I live in Oregon and he lives in England. I can relate to the poem so much it hurts. I want to see him so much, but we both come from poor families that can't afford a plane ticket. The 8 hour distance is killing me as I lay awake at night waiting for him to wake up. I savor the few hours a day we speak, and just seeing his face lights up my day. I suffer from both anxiety and depression, and being without him tears me apart.

AHHHHHHhhhhhh! This poem make me emotional. I have a lady in New Zealand. She is poor. She loves me more than her soul. We want to meet her. Unfortunately she can't come to meet me.

My boyfriend has gone to the USA for his company work for a few months and this tour might prolong. It's been 10 days and we can't talk much. I miss him so much already. I am counting days. Miles apart and I know when he is not alright. I wish I could go there but that's not possible for me because I don't have that kind of income. I feel sad all the time.

I am inspired by this poem the most; it reminds me of the online relationship I have a right now with girl in Israel. She is in the IDF right now, so she doesn't have much income. But I'm saving half of monthly income to visit her next summer. God I can't wait.
