My best friend and I have been together for only a short period of time, but we've had a friends with benefits kind of relationship. One day he confessed his feelings for me and said, "Don't worry, it's history now." Then I started falling for him. I don't know how, but we started dating. Now we are happily together.

My best friend and I are 1900 miles away, but we have always had this special connection. We FaceTime every night. He is black and I'm white, and his family is against whites, so we keep it quiet. But now they found out and have such control over him. He was told to cut ties. My heart is broken. All they want to do is control his life. I'm a lot older than him, but he's a grow man and needs to start doing what makes him happy. It's killing both of us, but he can't cut the apron strings, so I have lost that special person because of the color of my skin. I don't know how to let go of that one person who is everything. Why do people judge by skin color?

I was his crush since a long time. I never knew about this. We started as best friends and shared everything. Soon he began to express his love and it felt awkward for me but still I never showed my anger about this to him. One day he proposed to me even when he knew that I liked someone else. From that day we don't talk to each other.

I have the bestest friend in the world, he gives me all the right ways to succeed in love, I don't know but our friend love is different to everyone else, we live in our own world together full of everything we love and that's music, if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be writing this right now. We sometimes have arguments but we both know we can't live without each other, no matter what happens its always going to be him and I, best friends for life... Xxxxxx

I completely agree with EVERYTHING in this poem. My boyfriend and I started off as best friends and we stayed that way for 11 years. I watched him go through crappy relationships and vise versa, but in the end, the one I really should've been with was right in front of me all along. 7 months going strong.

I fell for my best friend. This isn't how it should go though. He says he loves me and I love him ^-^ haha but we don't do anything about the feelings. They are obviously there but we don't say anything. Plus it could ruin our great friendship. We share so many things. Its like we're the same person. We trust each other so much. He ditches his guys for me. And I ditch my girls for him. Now its only him. And for him it feels the same. He knows I like him and he knows I know he likes me. But we don't say anything. I guess were both scared of the put come. But its ok. My nick name for him is Justy. And for him I'm Love. I blush when he calls me that. When he says Beautiful. He gives my kisses. He's perfect. I have my very special guy friend. I never had this strange feeling that I couldn't explain. He's married and I am complicated but I can't stop falling for him. I know it isn't right but my heart is longing for him. And now I am in pain trying to get escape away. I am emotional and I want to move forward but my love for him will still remain.

A while ago I fell for someone, someone who I shouldn't have but it felt right. He had a crush on me at school and I never knew and all these years later he told me. Long story short we became involved and now we are not. This poem encompasses exactly how I feel right now. Perfectly weird reading someone else words and nodding your head as you read each line the pain won't just go away but knowing I'm not alone does help xxxx
