My Blue World

I know a place where the world is still,
where time and space have no hold.
I know a place where my heart and soul are one
and there are stories left untold.

I know a place where I rest in peace,
where my body lies numbed to pain,
where my eyes lie opened to the light above
and I've broken gravity's chain.

I know a place
Where I must leave as seconds pass.
My frail mortality cannot stand against its grave,
and my lungs shatter like glass.

I know a place so wonderful and deadly.
It pulls me into deep.
Oh, my deep blue ocean world.
I'll return to you after the surface pulls you from me.

Wow was the first thing I could say after reading this. It took me back to my favorite beach and just transported my soul there. I literally could feel each word crawl into my heart. Beautiful, I loved this poem so much.

I love the ocean as well, just the sound of its waves and the smell of the salty water and the breeze that carries it. When I get mad or sad I just think of the ocean, and it calms me down. I so badly want to visit the ocean soon. It's been long since I've last been to one. Reading your poem made feel as if I were there by the ocean. Great poem!

I have lived by the ocean my entire life everyday I am less than a mile away from the big blue waters. I love everything about the ocean, thanks for sharing your poem.
