21. Best Friend Moved Away
Sitting in class
Thinking of you
It's hard to realize
I'm not with you
Sitting in class
Thinking of you
It's hard to realize
I'm not with you

I can definitely relate! I moved twice, first was from my home Cape Town, South Africa and I not only had to leave my best friend but all of my family (except mum, dad, brother and sisters)....

I am such a lucky soul
To have friends as good as you
'Cause when worries find their way to me
And I'm unsure what to do...

You were a shelter
From life's frequent storm.
Like a comfortable blanket,
You kept me snug, safe, and warm.
I don't miss you, I miss your ghost,
The one I trusted more than most.
The friend I thought would never leave,
The one I never thought I'd have to grieve.
"forgiveness without change becomes permission"
This one line says so much. Congrats on a wonderfully, expressive poem.
